Take a Step Back: When overwhelm hits, it’s important to pause and simply observe. Take a deep breath, survey your current situation, and acknowledge the various tasks, situations, and emotions that are pulling at you.

Trust Your Inner Wisdom: Remember, you hold immense wisdom within yourself. Trust your intuition and inner guidance to choose the next right step amidst the sea of options. Instead of seeking external validation, remember that you possess the answers within yourself.

Move Forward with Intention: While it’s tempting to rush and act out of panic, slow down and move forward intentionally. Embrace this overwhelming moment as an opportunity for growth and adjust your role within your current situation accordingly. Trust that you have the power to navigate through this.

2. Intentional Movement – Align with Your Soul

Step two of overcoming overwhelm is centered around the Traveller card, which delivers the message, “Move in a New Direction.” With this card Spirit is guiding us to now move forward with the intention we’ve cultivated through trusting our own inner wisdom.

Reconnect with Your Core Values: Overwhelm often stems from losing touch with our core values and soul desires. Take time to reflect on what truly matters to you and what kind of life you want to create. Let these values guide your decisions and actions.

Choose a New Direction: This time, approach your journey from within. Let your soul, interests, goals, and curiosity be your compass. The final step of overcoming overwhelm is guided by the Summer card, which brings the message “Bask in Joy and Light.” It’s a beautiful celebration of the freedom and joy we’ve created by reconnecting with our soul and choosing to live a life guided by our inner knowing instead of living by external pressures.

Enjoy the Newly Created Space: When we let go of the tasks, obligations and ways of being that aren’t in alignment with who we are and where we’re going it leaves so much open space! Spirit is guiding us to let that space be filled with joy and experience and presence. Overcoming overwhelm involves not only trusting ourselves but also enjoying the freedom and space we’ve created by following our soul’s guidance. 

Prioritize Joy: Spirit reminds us that life is not all about hard work and pushing forward; it’s also about experiencing the joy, lightness, and freedom of being alive. Since you’ve just created all of this open space in your life it’s essential to protect and honor that space that’s been created. Resist filling up your time with new obligations and worries. Instead, prioritize joy and aliveness. Let that space remain a place where you can follow your curiosities and do the things that make you feel fulfilled at a soul-level.
